Wintertime - The VIPPS or VIPS 1966 acetate
Wonderful mid sixties sound of England. A CBS advanced copy one sided acetate.

I read that the VIP's were a continuation of the Ramrods and that Jimi Hendrix's first ever appearence was with the VIP's in the Scotch of St. James in London where they had a residency.Wow thats pretty neat I think!The official release of Wintertime had the tune Anyone as the flip side.I like Wintertime..nice tune and nice post Sir Henry,thank you..cheers,John. (USA).
I've never seen a stock copy of this 45 let alone an acetate! Wild stuff! I wonder was the "Vipps" an error by the record company? As a freak of 60's UK sounds this blog is a godsend to my eyes/ears! Hats off to you sir keep up the good work.
